In life, we all have passions that make us who we are. For my grandfather, engineering is his joy. He was an engineer from his time as a kid, through college and in his professional career. Problem solving and building is something he takes pride in. He worked at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for over 30 years. Above in these photos were projects he built. In the first photo is a carbon hydrogen tube and in the second is a non-functioning replica cannon he built in college back in the 1970s. Every time I visit, he shows me these things, and finding a subject for this assignment I wanted to document it.
