 University of Maryland Women's Club Soccer team practices for an upcoming tournament Thursday, February 22, 2019. With the weather beginning to get back into the 50s, practices go late.

 Both the women's and men's Club teams use the turf to practice three times a week during the spring. As the sun sets behind the Xfinity Center, the temperature goes down noticeably.

Participants run a drill working on "touch-and-goes." While the team can be competitive with tournaments, practices are laid-back and more fun than intense.

The front lines of the battle ebbed and flowed throughout the afternoon during the snowball fight on McKeldin Mall at the University of Maryland on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019. While the snowball fight was the main event of the day, many students also created snowmen, ranging from only inches tall to over 6 feet.

 A Long Island native-born takes a stroll down a Hampton Bays beach as the sun sets. Most Saturday afternoons end in a beautiful sunset on Long Island, NY, with this particular sunset bleeding yellows and oranges.
 Long Island-born Hunter Willis, 18, finishes up a winter surfing session in late January. Water temperatures skimmed below freezing as the teen submerged himself in the waves for about an hour.
 Willis surveys Hampton Bays water levels, air temperatures, and wave heights before heading out to surf later that afternoon.
 Willis catches a small wave during a surfing session in late January. It is important to cover his body with his wet-suit to avoid freezing water temperatures.

Photo Assignment #3, Garbacik

 The Diner is North Campus' dining hall. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
 The Diner utilized a biometric hand-swipe station in order to securely let students into the dining hall. It is a newer edition to dining halls around campus.
 On Thursday, February 21, 2019 at around 7 p.m. the Diner was not very busy. The Diner typically is busiest at around 8 p.m. with students getting dinner.
 Students have many options of foods to choose from at The Diner. The french fry station, which is shown in this picture, is very popular among students.
The Diner rotates days that they serve quesadillas. Different types of quesadillas are offered.

 The University of Maryland Memorial Chapel is a non-denominational place of worship that stands as a symbol of unity and serenity.


Outside of the chapel is there is a labyrinth in the Garden of Reflection and Remembrance, where students are able to walk through and meditate along its winding path.
