Photo Assignment. #3 Pierce

 University of Maryland Women's Club Soccer team practices for an upcoming tournament Thursday, February 22, 2019. With the weather beginning to get back into the 50s, practices go late.
 University of Maryland student Jennifer Valenti kicking the ball during a drill to practice precise touches and fast movement.
 Both the women's and men's Club teams use the turf to practice three times a week during the spring. As the sun sets behind the Xfinity Center, the temperature goes down noticeably.
 A participant does push-ups after messing up on a play and loosing the ball to the opponent.
 Valenti juggles the ball during a drill. The participants are working to earn a spot on different rosters, which will determine their position and playing opportunities.
Participants run a drill working on "touch-and-goes." While the team can be competitive with tournaments, practices are laid-back and more fun than intense.
