Why I'm sweating blood as I post this. Light highlights handprints in the rice and casts a neat shadow on the desk.
Religious Idol. Light bounces off of the jersey and onto the wall, and illuminates the shoulder pads well.
The Last Thing the Deer Sees. Slightly underexposed aperture combined with a slower shutter speed ignores the things that the headlights illuminate in front of the car and gives the headlights an "eyelash" effect.
A long shutter speed makes the head and tail lights the most visible aspect of the car.

Annemarie Peek, a computer science major at the University of Maryland, works on a late night project in her office space at her home in College Park.
Peek's color-changing keyboard was a gift from her boyfriend. The lights in her office help keep things interesting when looking at code for hours.
