Rada checks her phone while at her desk February 8. Her days are often full of talking with students, taking phone calls and attending meetings as the assistant director of graduate studies for the Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
Rada pictured with a photograph of her and her son. Family is present throughout her third floor office, from her grandmother's ring she wears regularly to the photos of children and grandchildren on the walls.
Rada works at her computer in her office February 8. It is rare to stop by her office, located in the graduate student lounge, and not find a student stopping by to chat about classes or just to say hi.
