Solid State Books, in Washington DC, is a Black-owned, independent bookstore with two locations in the district. The store sells a wide variety of books, stationary and branded merchandise. It also serves as a gather place for local organizers and literature enthusiasts, hosting weekly book clubs, knitting groups and story time sessions.

Shop Made in Maryland is cafe and retail store located in College Park, Maryland. Shop Made typically attracts UMD students to enjoy its tasty coffees in the enjoyable atmosphere.

The University of Maryland University Book Center, located on the basement and ground floor of Adele H. Stamp Student Union, is a one-shop stop for all things school and Maryland. Store goers can purchase books, stationery and dorm decor. There is also plenty of Maryland themed apparel.

The University of Maryland campus bookstore is located in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union. On one floor, they have mostly branded apparel with a variety of Maryland-affiliated logos and designs, but downstairs, they stock books and more practical school supplies.

The South Campus Market is the prime location for students in the southern part of the University Maryland campus to obtain everyday items. It's open until 1 a.m. seven days a week.
