Camera Kit, Jade Tran

I am building a camera kit that caters to event photography and the travel that comes with it. Specifically, I am looking to build a kit that can be used by tour photographers at live concerts, festivals, etc. This type of photography is very open-ended, but, my goal would be to capture the most crisp, high-quality pictures that showcase an artist/band in action.

Budget: $15,000

Camera Body #1: Canon EOS R6 MK II ($2299.99)

This camera is said to have good image stabilization which is very important for capturing the fast movements of the artists on tour. Also, the camera has a wide ISO range, therefore, the quality of the pictures will be clearer and noise-free regardless of the movement.

Lens #1: Canon EF 70-200mm F/4L IS USM ($1499.99)

Memory Card: SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB UHS-II ($129.99)

This memory card can hold a lot of pictures and videos and would work well with a long tour of content.

This lens would be a great addition because it has a wide range of uses (and is known to be great for events) but, it's also lightweight and compact (which is great for travel), and is perfect for movement.

Camera Body #2: Canon EOS R ($1299.99)

Memory Card: SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I ($22.99)

This memory card holds a lot of storage and is inexpensive.

This camera is specifically perfect for concerts that have low lighting (as most do) and could accurately capture the atmosphere and overall vibe of the show. Also, it provides fast and accurate autofocus, so as a photographer, I would not have to worry about adjusting the settings or checking for focus as I shoot.

Camera Body #3: Fujifilm X-T5 ($2099.99) -- (extra, added for style preference)

Memory Card: SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I ($22.99)

Again, this memory card holds a lot of storage and is inexpensive.

This camera would be a great addition because it captures photos that emulate classic film, which a lot of tour photographers use, and is truly a stylistic choice that I am attracted to. Also, much like the Canon, this camera is great for low light, has rapid continuous shooting (for movement), and is especially durable (which is good for travel).

Lens #2: XF 18mm F/1.4 ($999.00)

This lens works very well with the body because it is rather small, and light, and is reported to shoot pictures in very sharp, detail (which is needed when taking pictures of subjects). There is also little to no distortion on the sides of the picture, so the quality will be superb.

Tripod: Oben CT-2491 Carbon Fiber Tripod ($399.95)

I think this tripod is pretty standard, durable, and could achieve the job. It is described to be extremely sturdy and works well with Canon and other mirrorless cameras.

Tripod Accessory: Oben TAB-4M Four-Mount Tripod Accessory Bar ($119.95)

This tripod is multi-purpose and works with several different cameras. I think this tripod accessory is both inexpensive and looks to be durable for travel. Even though it would not be used at each event or concert (due to practicality) it would be nice to have the option to shoot multiple cameras at once.

Photo Backpack: BAGSMART Camera Backpack, DSLR SLR Camera Bag ($57.99)

This backpack is very big and can hold at least two of the cameras (I would only carry two at a time for each show). Also, the bag is inexpensive and waterproof. The bag itself has compartments for the different lenses and for the tripod.

Price: $8953.81

The remainder of the money I would spend on insurance or any costs that come up on tour.
