Mollenauer, Assignment #10

I chose to shoot photos that capture the nice weather and how springtime attracts a variety of people to the outdoors, whether for cycling, studying and reading on the lawn, sunbathing, etc. I got photos of a cyclist, scooter rider, protestors, alumnae having their graduation pics taken by another photographer, and the aforementioned other photographer taking those photos. The light, human-interest feature aspect of it makes it newsworthy, perhaps because of timing in particular. That is to say, with graduation imminent and the semester wrapping up, it's neat to see students enjoying the end of their time here this year, whether that's until next year or permanently due to graduation. So, while there's no hard breaking news angle by any means, this reflects something that I think could reasonably appeal to human interest.

Several soon-to-be alumnae have a graduation photo taken by another photographer at the Testudo statue at McKeldin Mall.

The aforementioned photographer shoots a photo of the graduating seniors pictured in my previous photo.

Protestors congregate on McKeldin Mall.
