Jake Hayden is a friend of mine from Howard County, Maryland, majoring in mechanical engineering. Within the first month of being on campus, we both discovered our love for climbing. The Geary F. Eppley Recreation Center has an indoor bouldering wall that we have thoroughly enjoyed. We climb at least once per week together, pushing each other to get better each time and conquer harder climbs. Jake also spends a lot of time studying for his difficult classes.
