This is my grandfather, Luis Aguilar. He immigrated from El Salvador to the U.S. in the early 2000s. When he moved to Maryland, he began working as a construction flagger and works from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Besides changing into comfortable clothing and eating, the first thing my grandfather does when comes home is check on his vegetables in the backyard and the flowers in the front yard.
