Van Pate, Laura (Photo Assignment #6)

This is a street photography photo inspired by Vivian Maier. A goal of street photography is to capture faces. The first student is annoyed with a photo being taken of her, and the student behind her looks like she's concentrating on what's she's listening through her headphones.

Self-portraits are another type of photography Vivian Maier was famous for. This photo is a picture of a mirror reflecting my image.

Here is another type of self-portrait. This photo (taken at McKeldin Mall) is of my shadow, showing a different darker side of myself.

A student is giving a smile while walking around Eppley Recreation Center.

Students are hanging out at McKeldin Mall in this street photo. The students are hanging by the water fountain while doing their homework during the first hot day of the year.

This photo is another reflection self-portrait. My reflection is bouncing off of a meeting room in Tawes Hall. The reflection isn't clear, but it's still an effective way the show a self-portrait, with the photo being more mysterious compared to the mirror selfie.
