The sundial landmark, which is a part of McKeldin Mall, follows the leading lines concept, with the rectangular part of the sundial leading viewers eyes to the circular part.
The fence is the main subject of the photo with viewers following its path downhill to the building. This photo also has two other leading lines examples. One of them is the sidewalk to the left of the fence leading to more buildings. The other one is the embedded lines on the pavement, located to the right of the fence, leading viewers to the alley area.
The fountain at McKeldin Mall is a great example of the leading lines concept. Viewers eyes are led to McKeldin Library when looking uphill from the mall.
Railroad tracks are a common example of leading lines. The Purple Line (as pictured in this photo), looks like it's heading toward a building in the background, causing viewers eyes to move from the track to the building.
The leading line in this photo in the sidewalk that is going downhill. Viewers eyes see the sidewalk, and they eventually lead to the person and then the trees and buildings in the background.
The sidewalk is the leading line in this photo, with the line going uphill. Viewers see the sidewalk and follow its path with the student in front, followed by the three students in the back, and then background trees and buildings.
