Connor Voss (a student in Tim Jacobsen's Photojournalism class) is jumping from a ledge outside Knight Hall, with the photo being taken in 1/30 shutter speed.
Josh Hananel (another student in Tim Jacobsen's Photojournalism class) is jumping from a ledge outside Knight Hall, with the photo being taken in 1/15 shutter speed.
A similar photo of Josh Hananel is taken of him jumping off a ledge, but the photo is being taken in 1/8 shutter speed to make him blurrier.
This photo was taken at the top of the stairs between the first and second floor of Knight Hall, and it's meant to showcase depth of field by focusing on the exit of Knight Hall. It's also meant to show how big the lobby of Knight Hall is.
This was my best attempt at a shallow depth of field. I tried to focus on the sign that says off the record cafe, while everything else is faded into the background.
I wanted to try taking another photo at Stamp Hill, with this one focusing on depth of field. The photo is supposed to showcase the trashcan and road sign while the students walking up Stamp Hill are blurred in the background.
