Mollenauer, Assignment #8

Depth of Field: Goal was to get the two subjects as the clearer focus with their surroundings --- the sidewalk and space behind the trees, at least --- lighter in order for the people to stand out.

Like with the previous image, I aimed to create a depth of field focused specifically on the subject and thus have the surroundings as lighter-in-color as possible.

For depth of field here, I was going for more visual/visibility emphasis on the background this time. Since the subject is not in the main focus of the image, the background appears much larger and therefore captures the most attention, visually, even though it's lighter in color.

For motion here, I was going for capturing the vehicle as it became centered sort of between the foreground and background.

For this motion shot, I aimed to capture the car before it became centered in the image, as I wanted to have the foreground appear more expansive and prominent.

Like in the previous image, I was aiming to capture the car just before it became centered in the image in order for me to achieve a foreground that is broader, visually, which I think adds depth and dimension to the picture.
