Photo Assignment #10, Nebbia

On Sunday April 14th, the University of Maryland fraternities partcipated in the annual Moonball Kickball Tournament. Many family members, friends and fans came out to support the teams. Helena Ottaviano (pictured above) came out to support her boyfriend playing for the Alpha Sigma Phi team.

The tournament started early in the afternoon. With 6 fields in play during the tournament, the entire area surrounding chapel fields was flooded with fans and participants.

Senior Emily McGowan, a volunteer at the tournament, calls out raffle numbers to the fans who decided to participate in the auction and raffle competitions as part of the fundraising efforts of the tournament.

This year's champions were the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. This is their second year in a row claiming the Moonball tournament title.

Junior Kelsey Talerico was one of the volunteer coaches for the tournament. She stood on the sidelines to support her team while wearing a large pink bow so the boys would be able to find her between plays.

One participant prepares to start a play as the timer runs out. Each game lasted 15 minutes, and then teams would rotate based on the championship bracket.

One participant walks between fields as plays are being called. Each team was assigned a color to wear to differentiate between teams.
