Photo Assignment #12, Hang
These photos were shot within a few parts of the University of Maryland campus. As I have had experience shooting in manual exposure, I am well familiar with the different shutter speed and aperture settings for this assignment. The first three photos demonstrate showing or stopping motion, and the last three demonstrate depth of field.
A student riding the morning bus from Gaithersburg Park & Ride to the UMD campus.
A car, along with its driver, cruising by STAMP at about 10:45 a.m.
A still shot of a student riding on their motorized scooter near STAMP.
A student doing work on their laptop along with other students at STAMP (shot at f/7.1).
Students walking by the pool at McKeldin Mall on a crisp afternoon (shot at f/16).
A bed of flowers planted at McKeldin Mall, with students walking by (shot at f/22).
Photo assignment #12, Alexander
For this photo I used a very wide depth of field so that I could capture all of the basketball court clearly.
For this photo I tried to capture motion my moving my camera with the front car so that the background would be blurry.
In this photo I used a wide depth of field so that the majority of the words would be clear even though some were closer than other.
For this photo I stopped the motion of this bicyclist.
I stopped the motion of this person on the scooter in this photo.
In this photo I used a very narrow depth of field so that the only clear thing in the photo was the tree trunk.
